GS occasionally recoes to the public to do what they are probably doing-- something that works. Like they did with gold this year. But you can't depend on that.

In fact, more often they reco to the public the exact opposite of what will work-- like GS did in 2012 when they recoed to the public that they establish a short position right at the bottom, in June.
