So far all we can get is a tweet from fannie mae regarding 58b treasury payment

I am very curious how they treat this on the balance sheet. Most companies it would be no big deal. But, when you bring the DTAs back on the balance sheet and then write a check, it would seem you would go from a big jump in shareholder equity, to a big drop in shareholder equity. If FnF's case, since they are not allowed to carry shareholder equity over $3 bil I would think we would then see negative shareholder equity. Thus, no additional payments to the treasury for number of quarters.

Any accountants out there that can chime in?
