I'm having some technical problem or other trying to contact the Director of Mining in the Chihuahua State Government by e-mail. Hopefully I can figure out how to communicate with that office and thereby get some information on the situation at the plant. I have so far been unable to find any contact information for the plant itself. I've been into every telephone listing and Mexican Government web site that I can find.
Since February, no one in LSTG or its investor relations firm has responded to any of my e-mails. I wrote twice to Jaramillo as well, and got no answer from him.
The local papers, which I continue to follow, have not had any information about the Parral plant for some time. They are providing sporadic coverage of the ongoing strike at the Minera Frisco plant in San Francisco del Oro. Local politics and crime reporting seem to dominate the news currently.
