You missed the point Jonah.....no historian worth his salt talks about "God" is if "He" were real. As far as "destroying" goes....for all of Jehovah's huff and puff in the Bible....you know, making the mountains tremble, etc., it was the Jews who mostly got their asses kicked. The Babylonians, the Egyptians, the Romans...none were sceered nor impressed. The Jews and their "God" were inconsequential in the annals of history. So much for "all-powerful"....more like the Wizard of Oz....."be afraid, but if ya like me, I'll give you a lollipop....sucker".
