IMO, IMS is all about open standards and that perfectly fit jnpr's strategy.

I don't if you are familiar with Bea, but Bea is the only enterprise software company that can provide the telco operators exactly what they need: a open standards based platform that is scalable and can be leveraged by all J2EE developers. Bea's solution will be the underlying platform to launch multiple IP services that we don't even know about. It's a controversial stock, but IMO their competitive position is serioulsy misunderstood.
