The instrumentation "reads" the mineralization according to differences seen by the electromagnetic "eye". As long as it saw some differences in mineralization on the first few flight lines....that means the rest of the lines can be flown to intersect eachother and draw a 3d map. Had it read very little difference in mineralization on the first few lines....then recalibration would be necessary....or there is no evident mineralization to read.

That's how I understand it anyway.
