And though on-line service is annoying, I likely will go with that in the future, because it is much cheaper. Also, cable seems to be not-as-fast as it used to be, and I was warned this might happen with more and more subscribers joining.-RO

I've found that my broadband service through cable is slower lately, too. We're not sure if it's because we use a router to split the service between our two computers, or because of more subscribers in our neighberhood. We, too, were warned when we first got broadband, that the more "traffic," the slower service would be. But dial-up was a nightmare, as we were always getting knocked offline, not to mention tying up the telephone line, so I suppose we'll stick with cable-access, despite the cost.
