SI has 4 or 5 really good threads. They had about 30 and its dwindled. Penny stock threads are NOT the degeneration of SI. They have JUST come up to the "hot subjects" list along with threads like "Tell me you like me, and that I'm popular...threads".. or "I am condemned and I am rebelling".. threads or "I'm a loser and I want to meet other losers" threads that have come to the forefront, or I am a "hot subject" therefore I exist kind of forum. The other forums are there, but they post when necessary, have a lot of trading to do themselves and don't spend their trading lives posting on bulletin boards, and they can be found if you look, their need to be on the "list" is not important, making money is. SI is like standing in line in the supermarket waiting to pay and skimming the headlines on the tabloids while waiting. Most are 'dog eared' from so much skimming, but very few of these tabloids are bought. You won't find the New York Times, or the Barron's on these lines, because their interest is to the select few who can search them out. Don't give up, you will find them, just ignore the 'junk' threads that attempt to get your attention and LOOK for the good ones. SI is comic interlude now, I go there usually on Friday night, and can have a really good laugh.. these are among the few remaining good ones. One or two others are contenders but so far they are only testimonials on after the fact trades that are dubious at best. I know a fella called Chris has a thread, but I don't know the address. Anyhow that is quite a little bit, when once I had 33 threads bookmarked. Tom Hua and Doug I've read for years, as well as Rande. Why are they still on SI? Probably they have too much on their respective tables to consider moving. Auric Goldfinger has some very interesting shorts also. If you are into shorting its best not to hang onto one stock and short till the death, which might never come but short a number of stocks get the 5-10 points on one cycle, give the stock a chance to 'rally' on investor sentiment and short it again. That's how we were short our blimps through the last few weeks (the September through end of March short festival where we gourged is over, we now have a more challenging short strategy and have to keep on our toes more)
