*OT* Unfortunately, a number of bodies were also recovered, per an embedded reporter I heard on Larry King's show. Presumably this is not being reported pending notification of next of kin. The reporter had been monitoring radio traffic. Could be 9+ bodies.

At the "special" Centcom briefing this afternoon, the General made a terse announcement about the rescue of the wounded female soldier, then turned tail and walked out of the room before anybody could ask any questions.
