Just marginally to get a general "feel" of where we are in the economic cycle. Yes, it seems we may get into another relapse (the auto, housing and manufacturers reports all point to that as well), but the weakness of the market might already be discounting a good part of it. Thus, such data by themselves, are not sufficient to determine how far or close we might be from a solid bottom.
