Camtek sells two Falcons to ST Microelectronics

Camtek (Nasdaq: CAMT) on Monday reported the sale of more Falcon systems. It didn't mention the amount or the buyer, saying only that it is a follow-on order worth $1.3 million from one of the world's top 10 semiconductors companies.
Market sources are quite confident though that the mystery buyer is none other than the Swiss company ST Microelectronics. And going by the scope of the deal, the amount is two systems.

Camtek recognized a previous order from ST Microelectronics in its third-quarter financial statement.
This is the third Falcon deal Camtek has scored since announcing its projections for the fourth quarter of 2005.
The Falcon is an automated optical inspection system that detects flaws during chip production. The Israeli firm has sold several dozen of the advanced systems, which cost between half a million dollars to $800,000 each. By that criteria, the present order is for two of the systems.
Revenue from one of the systems will be recognized in the fourth quarter, while the other one will appear in Camtek's first-quarter 2006 report.
In mid-November Camtek reported $17.7 million revenues for the third quarter of 2005, an increase of 5.8% from the previous quarter. Falcon sales contributed $5 million of the amount, up 25% from the second quarter. Camtek chief executive Rafi Amit projected further growth in Falcon sales during the current quarter.
For the fourth quarter Camtek expects to present $18-20 million in sales, which would lift its revenue for the year to $61.3-61.7 million.
In 2006 it expects to achieve $85-95 million sales.
