I have no doubts you are correct. That is unfortunate for management. You can only play the EG card so long before you are simply ignoring your responsibilities and duties as management of a publicly traded company. Setting yourself a deadline and then failing to meet that deadline also shows:

1. a lack of integrity,
2. a lack of responsibility,
3. a lack of professional ethics,
4. incompetence, and
5. laziness.

In my world, if you fail to meet deadlines you suffer major consequences including your client loosing their case in court and opening yourself to malpractice suits.

In my world, if you self-impose a deadline and fail to live up to it, your credibility is destroyed and you lose clients and colleges VERY QUICKLY.
