'It is SI posters like you who made him your most popular poster and SI king icon'
... um, i fear you misunderstand - i was making no judgment on a@p or on you, except for a genuine compliment on the way you put words together ... just for the record, the number of times per year i comment on a@p can be counted on the fingers of a duck, the majority of SIers with whom i deal daily are canadians, players of long speckie positions on the cdnx and Toronto ... here's my thread on SI - http://www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/subject.gsp?subjectid=50521 ... it is expressly and by design guru-free, and to date quite without short calls, although i have nothing against them ... for the record i have yet to short my first stock or even go long on a put, keep meaning to but don't get around to it, there's always some long pick or a pullback to cash while waiting for one.
To equate SI with a@p just doesn't make sense to me ... same as there are some equating iHub with jenna ... how silly - even a small forum will be much greater than any single poster or any group ... no individual will be indispensable to any forum, it takes hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of us for it all to work and be interesting .... so i think the 'mindset[]' with which you need concern yourself could lie within ... ?? ... contrary to your above statement, it ain't me making a big deal out of any of the gurus - it's you, mah man ... 'if there ain't no audience, there ain't no show' ... we are as gods, you and i, and might as well get good at it.
