MONEY? Spend MONEY to protect NTEK brands and technology
It is more difficult to protect brands if the trademarks are not registered. Nor can technology be protected without patent applications and approved patents.

It's similar to having insurance. Going without insurance seems to save money -- UNTIL THERE IS A LOSS and the uninsured entity has to pay out the entire amount that insurance would have covered (in case of an accident or a lawsuit).

If its brands or technology are "borrowed" by another company, NTEK will spend FAR more MONEY to regain ownership than it would have to protect itself in the first place.
