Given the cosmetic nature of the drug, there’s clearly going to be a high bar for safety.

A separate issue (unrelated to safety) is that ATX-101 alone is not going to be able produce an excellent cosmetic result when someone has a really large amount of double-chin fat. (Think of George Kevarian, former Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives). In that case, if ATX-101 succeeds in shrinking the fat, a surgical procedure to remove the excess skin will still be needed.
