Yes, I think there’s a negative correlation between the prevailing price of branded drugs in a given country and the prevailing price of generic drugs in that country. The US has the highest branded prices in the world and either the lowest or close to the lowest generic prices. (I’m excluding cases where generics are produced under a compulsory license, because that’s an altogether different animal.)
