Absolutely right Cat. That was my point.

All people, Christians included have the Right in America to express their beliefs without reprisal. Or, at least, I think they should have that Right.

I was simply pointing out how Muslims, Christians, Rasta's and so forth DO express themselves where I live.

By a State Religion, I meant this.

It seems that some Americans think that Christianity is the Religion of America. It's not, many of us know that. But, as long as some people continue to push it, they can expect a push back. That's what might be happening in Texas right now.

Our government seems to have been set up on the belief that there is a God. Not a Jewish God, or a Christian God, or a Muslim God, or an American Indian God. But, a God that covers all of our beliefs.

I think that we need to remember that and embrace each other for our different beliefs. Kids should be welcomed and actually encouraged to point to the sky, or make the Sign of the Cross, or kneel and pray to the east, or bow and honor the Earth and the Sky. They should be allowed to do whatever they need to do in order to give Thanks.
