TMM Announces TruDef Consumer Compression and Graphics Software
IMMEDIATE RELEASE Friday July 31, 1997
CAMARILLO, California, July 31, 1997-Total Multimedia, announced today that it has completed packaging of its TruDef product, a still image compression and graphics software program. TruDef, obtained by TMM in the agreement with ADVANCED MULTIMEDIA CONCEPTS, INC. ("AMCI"), is an industry leading family of integrated full color still image compression and graphics manipulation tools. TruDef compresses still images at higher compression ratios than the industry standard JPEG, while maintaining superior image quality for viewing.
TruDef technology is currently being used to develop plug-ins for Internet browsers (both Netscape and Microsoft). Third party DLL's can also be used for E-mail packages like Eudora and Pegasus for easy transfer of small and high quality images. TruDef also provides many graphic features including image acquisition (scanners), image conversions between heterogeneous file formats, image filtering, color manipulation, image output and special effects. TruDef provides users with most all of the useful capabilities of the industry standard advanced compression graphics programs, at a fraction of the cost.
TMM Chief Technology Officer, Tom Simpson stated from the company offices in Camarillo, "I am excited about the TruDef product. It is now ready for aggressive marketing and we have already received preliminary indications of interest from several major distributors. It is unequaled in terms of price and performance value.'
The product is available now and the Company is working to distribute the product by the Internet and traditional and traditional distribution channels.
