yea many years ago I called an IR guy of a gold company and asked him if he was aware of promotional newsletter going around (around a 3 milly budget btw) and he went furious saying he will sue the people behind it etc.. and that there company is a legitimate operation..

either somebody lied to that fella about the IR duties of the company he was working for or he deserved an oscar for best performance by an IR guy in 2008-2009
