Hey mar, NENG CEO newsletter may be helping the stock today (copied this from Yahoo post): 1st Newsletter in a Year Released Overnight: New Case Study on Reality Works - Wow, the Annual Savings for this Company $100,000 per year.
"CEO update with John Curtis - December 2005
We are off to a strong start for fiscal 2006 with new partners joining the ENGAGE channel program, and recently signed OEM customers ordering new appliances. Last month, as we introduced release 3.0 of NS SeriesTM appliances, we learned that our NS Series won Redmond Magazine Editor's Choice 2005 award for best firewall. That's a great way to begin FY06!
I hope you have toured our new corporate website where we have emphasized Network Engines as THE Appliance Company. This description perfectly describes our business today because over the past year we have transitioned Network Engines into a pure-play appliance company. Our appliance specialists bring hardware, software, and application integration resources to customers that no other company can match. Our innovative technology, industry experience, and product expertise are the foundation for this description of our company.
Record year for partnerships:
We continue to be dedicated to growing our relationships and partnerships. Our distribution relationship with InTechnology/Allasso has enabled Network Engines to expand sales of the NS Series into Europe, the Middle East, and South Africa. We have also entered a new relationship with the market-leading web filtering specialist, Websense®. By integrating the Websense Web Security SuiteTM, the NS Series delivers advanced network security for Web applications with streamlined deployment and robust reporting.
New platforms for our award-winning NS Series:
Along with Release 3.0 of the NS Series software we have added new platforms at the low- and high-end of our product family. We now offer the new low-end NS6250 that is ideal for small businesses and the branch offices of larger companies. At the high-end, our new NS8400 has the processing power and resiliency features necessary to support more then 4,000 users in larger enterprises. A white paper our website documents the tremendous cost savings of our NS Series appliances compared to firewalls using ISA preloaded onto general-purpose servers.
Building on longstanding OEM success:
Our OEM business has also been advancing during fiscal 2005. We strengthened and extended the relationship with our largest OEM customer during the year. We successfully competed for and won their business to develop a next-generation server appliance hardware platform. The September quarter was our first full quarter shipping the new platform.
During our Q4 financial conference call we announced that we engaged five new OEM customers during the second half of the year, primarily Independent Software Vendors selling security or storage applications. Because of the nature of OEM relationships, we are generally unable to make public announcements of the names of new customers, but we are proud to have earned their business and look forward to building longstanding relationships with these companies.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to our success:
Network Engines experienced significant growth in FY2005 and our progress has been tremendous. Our strategic investments in the NS Series were primarily responsible for the net loss we reported for the year but they have created the foundation we need to support continued growth of this business. I want to thank all our customers, partners, employees, and investors for our many successes this year and our strong start to FY2006!

Case Study: RealityWorks achieves 25% efficiency increase with IT upgrade protected by NS Series Security Appliance
