Makes me sad, too. Just last night a friend offerred a kitten to me, but it is a big responsibility, guz, 15-20 years worth, and I just don't want to make that big of a commitment right now. I'm considering an in-home foster program for dogs looking for homes that a friend is involved in, and might do that, but I'm afraid I will fall in love with each of them and end up with a house full of pets again, and this isn't the time for that. We'll see. . .
