I would, and I did, but...
Why would you think that AMD doesn't do that(sort) before packaging, labelling and shipping?
This is what this whole confusing debate is about. The rev. E parts ship with a Tcasemax specified as "variable", and the thermal spec sheet we have been referencing includes a decoder for an internally programmed Tcasemax parameter. It indicates that if you order a certain OPN you may get any different numbers for Tcasemax and hence TDP. Furthermore OC is indicating that most of the parts are shipping with the lower Tcasemax and TDP numbers programmed into them.
