Shorting could be used as a technique for certain large players to acquire assets or the entire company of the position they are short. There are many scenarios that involve this type of strategy by firms who do this as a business. Welcome to modern finance where actual shareholders are the last ones to find out about these types of strategies. Like I stated in a much earlier post, ONE of the major reasons I'm in this position is that JF was a former VC player and I am hoping that he understands these types of games. I'm guessing he does because he is the largest shareholder of record, correct?
