But it is amazing how many times I have seen the info from FINRA, posted on the Shortsqueeze.com site, and then used to promote a higher price based on the "coming short squeeze".

It isn't really "amazing" at all. Those sites are promo sites. Companies pay them to suggest that there's a great big short squeeze on the way.
