Problem with a time frame is some people, for example, may flame another poster while drinking on vacation and not come back for 30 days only to then find out he's been fried without even having knowledge of what happened.

The problem with time limits on the internet is you assume that everybody uses it daily which is not the case - some people take breaks for up to months at times.
