Here's an easy answer. All the war on drugs has done is wasted our police officers time, filled our courts and prison systems, created drug lords and caused problems with foreign relations. It has cost us big time in lives lost on victims of the users, the sellers and the law enforcement.
Why don't we just stop the nonsense, legalize and tax it? We could then take that money and put back the crazy people back into the nut houses like used to and stop leaving crazy people out in the streets with the masses causing mass shooting and other havoc. Hell, we even have enough money left to help drug addicts get clean, and we would still have money over!
