A dividend is cash paid shareholders out of company PROFITS.

It does not increase the value of the company, does not increase the value of the shares you own or bring new money into the company. Everyone, including ;your leader will simply have three times the number of shares and the sp will drop to one third its value.

It will make it easier for buyers to buy shares which is something Joe is dead set against.
