About Our Company

Our mission at WiFi Wireless, Inc. is to lead the way in establishing a new industry standard in wireless telecommunications, becoming the most advanced provider of global satellite and terrestrial communication solutions. WiFi became publicly traded in June 2004 and is traded under the symbol wfiw.pk. The Corporate headquarters are now located in Southern California where we employ a full R&D and Administrative staff. WiFi was formed by Chairman Eugene L. Curcio, who has many years experience in the telecom and satellite industry, having been involved with Iridium, Globalstar, Thuraya and Inmarsat. We also have the beginnings of an impressive advisory board including Mr. Randolph Brinkley, a former President of Boeing Satellite Systems and his colleague Mr. Wilbur Trafton, former VP and GM of Boeing Expandable Launch Systems, to name a few.

We have a Research & Development staff comprised of a respected panel of engineers led by our Senior VP of Engineering, Mr. Renato Giordano, who is well known for his roll as one of the lead engineers on NATO's NAVSTAR-GPS program. He and his team are working hard to develop new and exciting wireless technologies. WiFi Wireless plans to release its initial family of products for sale to the consumer in the first quarter of 2006!

Exciting News in the World of WiFi

On a recent trip to England, our Senior VP of Engineering, Mr. Renato Giordano conducted a successful presentation of our WF205 System to the Inmarsat team. Mr. Giordano later met with Dr. Bonifazi A. IES Elettronica an Advisor for Navalcostarmi - Italian Navy Technical Directorate and discussed possibilities for WiFi applications. Mr. Giordano, has recently been invited to become a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 802.22 committee. He is scheduled to attend the IEEE Plenary meetings on the 802.22 in Vancouver later this month.

In the last few months, WiFi Wireless conducted several successful demonstrations for some of the largest Maritime companies in South Korea, such as Hyundai Shipping, Corp and Hanjin Shipping Co., Ltd. These companies did rigorous technical evaluations of our proposal, and we are currently in negotiations to outfit their extensive commercial fleets with WiFi-Enabled products.

The 802.22 Frequency Advantage

One of the biggest challenges to wireless communications is the limited "hot spot" range of transmission on frequencies currently being utilized by the industry. These frequencies, specifically the 802.11 and 802.16 have "hot spot" ranges of up to 300ft under only the best conditions and are typically utilized by businesses such as internet cafés. It was recently determined by the FCC that an unused bandwidth will soon be available for commercial wireless use! The availability of bandwidth, advanced penetration capabilities and highly secure transfer of information on this frequency make it a very attractive solution for new wireless technologies. This frequency is also an excellent solution for the quick transfer of larger digital video files. With the potential broadcast range of up to 20 miles and secure transfer of information, the advantages of the 802.22 frequency are unmistakable.

Our Exciting Innovations

"The WF205 will be the first wireless system which enables comprehensive and cost-effective ship-board satellite connectivity. Using existing wireless infrastructure in alliance with our state-of-the-art system, we are light years ahead of any of our competitors."

WF205 System

The WF205 System by WiFi Wireless, Inc. is a revolutionary, fully integrated nav-aid system using laser gyro controlled platforms. These platforms utilize no moving parts and provide fast and accurate pitch, roll and rate of turns on three axis. Our system is wireless and is powered at only 24Volts DC. With virtually wireless operation, our system is designed to be used with existing satellite infrastructure, offering drastic and immediate savings to the customer by eliminating the need for dedicated cabling. The use of hundreds of miles of cabling involved in traditional systems not only proves costly to install and maintain, but causes delay in information transfer and can translate to up to a 30 DBI loss. The WF205 is designed specifically to work accurately in extremely severe weather conditions, and on integrated bridges. The full incorporation of the Inmarsat modem and the use of CRTBA(TM) technology (Controlled Reception and Transmission Beam Antenna) dramatically improves signal stability and reception with virtually no losses or degradation.

CTC (Container Tracking Chip)

Once a ship becomes wi-fi enabled with our system, the possibilities are seemingly limitless. WiFi Wireless, Inc. has a respected panel of engineers developing companion products to be used in conjunction with the WF205 System, such as our CTC device. This device will allow a user to continuously monitor and manage their vessel's cargo load; including real-time alerts for possible tampering, temperature fluctuation and/or deterioration of cargo containers. Through the use of the unique WiFi Wireless Inc. Point-To-Multipoint secure connection software, our customers can access this information anywhere in the world. Serial interface is also provided to facilitate integration with other satellite systems.

Wi-Fi stands for "Wireless Fidelity"

Wi-Fi is Freedom

A fast-growing segment of Wi-Fi wireless technology user, the "mobile professional," requires constant, fast and secure access to their corporate networks, e-mail, instant messages, and internet access. Imagine access from your home, hotel room, airport, conference room or anywhere... without wires. Wi-Fi technology makes this a reality. Service providers and wireless ISPs are using Wi-Fi technology to distribute Internet connectivity within individual homes and businesses as well as apartments and commercial complexes. Small and large businesses, campuses and Government agencies can move entire offices without moving cables or installing complicated access infrastructure. Many corporations also provide wireless networks to their off-site and telecommuting workers to use at home or in remote offices. Wi-Fi Wireless Technology is changing the way the world does business!

Wi-Fi networks use radio technologies across all the available wireless technologies in IEEE 802.11a ,802.11b or 802.11g, 802.16 and the future of 802.22 to provide secure, reliable, fast wireless connectivity. According to the Wi-Fi Alliance Organization, Wi-Fi® , allows you to connect to the internet from virtually anywhere, at speeds of up to 54Mbps. The Wi-Fi Alliance (formerly WECA) is the global Wi-Fi organization that created the Wi-Fi brand. A nonprofit organization, the Alliance was formed in 1999. The Wi-Fi Alliance has instituted a test suite that defines how member products are tested to certify that they are interoperable with other Wi-Fi CERTIFIED products. Thanks to the Wi-Fi Alliance, you don't have to read the fine print or study technical manuals: just look for the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED logo and color-coded Standard Indicator Icons to match interoperable products.
