Wasn't a surprise to me... I think people's expectations were unrealistic because of comparing with the last gulf war. We've forgotten history. Have we forgotten Vietnam? Korea? Blackhawk down? Remember how long the Russians held out?

"By mid-September 1941, Leningrad was firmly under siege from the Germans and was to remain so for another 900 days until February 1944, during which time nearly one million Russians perished."

I certainly hope that it won't last that long and this war will come to a quick end. But if the republican guard stand their ground in the cities, we loss our technical advantage and it comes down to hand to hand combat... street fighting... and those Iraqi's we claim to be liberating would pay the highest price.

I guess I really can't concentrate on the market... sorry.
