Changing my opinion from bearish to bullish is much less common than changing from bullish to bearish. The reason: most companies that are scams or quasi-scams remain scams or quasi-scams.
Of course, I could be wrong about ILE, but what I’ve seen to date places ILE squarely in the quasi-scam realm and dangerously close to a characterization of a full-fledged scam (such as HEB).
You can make money trading these kinds of stocks, but you run the continual risk of being left holding the bag when the bad stuff hits the fan. We saw that with ILE on 8/1/05 when the stock fell 37% in one day, and I think there will be other days like that one ahead. Caveat emptor!
