The researcher who helped found TRMS's Fuzeon at Duke University, is the retiring CSO of PANC, and this company has found a new target--the gag protein, part of GP120 which prevents the virus from replicating in the final stage. They also are generating an oral fusion inhibitor, which if effective in the clinic would trump TRMS's Fuzeon.

The CEO was former CEO of Cyclis, remember who ARQL bought....?

Nonetheless, PANC has around 40 OS, and are moving their maturation inhibitor into Phase IIb studies setting the stage for pivotals which if all goes well could start in 2007.
