Markets are always, always about perception. Remember, buy the rumor, sell the news. Late last year the stock moved some 100% in one week on rumored Google settlement, then sold off on news. The fact that "There aren't any hard numbers" is NOT the issue. The issue is a $250 billion company AGREES to settle with a $100MM company.
