More than one competent consulting geologist turned to the dark side, if you will, and started working for obvious promotions and pump and dumps when the resource market turns negative and legitimate companies run low on funds. Happens every cycle, but it is much worse now with the vast increase in pink sheet pump and dumps. Especially considering the unusual dichotomy of high commodity (gold and silver) prices and low prices of legitimate junior explorers.
Working for even one pink sheet pump and dump is pretty much a career killer these days. And rightfully so, frankly. Once a geologist decides to go that route there really is no turning back.
