EXPLANATION FOR NEWCOMERS: TWO LAWSUITS

Play Beverages, Citran et al vs Playboy Enterprises International, Inc. et al.
Assigned to: Judge Kathleen M. Pantle
Filed in the Chancery Division of the Cook County Courthouse, Municipal Division
Date Filed: 11/26/2012

Cutting through all the particulars, Play Bev/CIRC filed against Playboy claiming Playboy breached their agreement by trying to steal PlayBev/CIRC's distribution network. They claim Playboy encouraged them to invest more money into the distribution network, while working behind their backs with other parties. PlayBev/CIRC has a lot of internal e-mails that they feel proves their charges. Playboy filed a motion to dismiss this case, AND THAT MOTION WAS DENIED TODAY. CIRC CEO has told many here that he would keep shareholders informed of the progress of the case, so IMO News about the ruling will come early next week.

Playboy Enterprises International, Inc. v. Play Beverages, LLC et al
Assigned to: Honorable Robert W. Gettleman
Cause: 15:1114 Trademark Infringement
Date Filed: 02/01/2013

This is a case that Playboy filed against PlayBev to claim trademark infringement. There are several motions outstanding. PlayBev/CIRC is trying to get the case dismissed or stayed for a variety of reasons (which after reading the court docs I'm convinced CIRC will prevail). If it's stayed it basically means they will not move it forward until the other case is settled.

You can find information about it if you have a PACER account. Go to:
