I would bet that DJ completed his due diligence before joining the team. If he's as astute as he appears, then he was aware of the company's warts and exploited them when structuring his deal. I would venture that he fully knows what he's gotten into and believes that he can overcome some of the obstacles that have stymied the current management team.
