I think the only reason it's lasting as long as it is, is because the companies that get involved get an hour of advertising and don't mind ponying up the money for it.

I haven't succumbed to it this year, but last year after the Burger King episode, I ran to Burger King to get one of the Apprentice burgers (it was awful), after the Dominoes Pizza, I went to get the pizza that they had made, and after the Staples episode I tried to buy the thing that they invented but it was sold out.
