You've been crystal clear, SuperC. There were equally vocal objections to the Moderator changes, ie., those meany Admins didn't know what they were doing. In full retrospect they knew exactly what they were doing and I-Hub is much more equal for all. So too will the changes to sticky-note entitlements be fair to all.
Change is never easy and arbitrary changes are even less easy to adjust to.
The caterpillar ain't happy about change either, but when the critter evolves into a beyoootiful butterfly the painful metamorphosis is forgotten.
Even with advanced warning as you are vigorously arguing for, Mods would have needed to eventually compile info that may have been in more than one sticky-note into just one sticky-note.
Having advanced warning or no warning doesn't alter the inevitable, and the changes are absolutely 'the right thing to do' as Wilford Brimley would say.
To bite the worm of incite is to bite the HOOK of the antagonist . They win .
