Remember when stock specific boards had one Moderator who had the authority to choose all Assistant Moderator positions. There were excellent Moderators who chose Assistant Moderators on their ability and commitment to apply the Terms Of Use, but there were far more Moderators who chose their Assistants on their stock sentiment. The former system was quite dysfunctional and the new system of Admin choosing stock board Moderators has worked exceptionally well.
There is a parallel between the former Moderator system and the next arbitrary decision by I-Hub to relegate one sticky-note to each board Moderator.
Just as there were task oriented Moderators who chose T.O.U. compliant Assistant Mods the practice needed to change because of the stock board Moderators who abused their authority. Similarly there are excellent stock board Moderators who sticky-note task oriented posts, but there are too many sticky-note wars by Moderators who think it is their entitlement to control stick-notes.
Of course there are inconveniences to task oriented Moderators who must now compile all desired information into one sticky-note, but the new practice will stop the Mods who have abused their self-appointed roles as guardians of sticky-notes.
No more sticky-note feuds.
The changes are made to make sticky-notes fair to all Moderators.
I-Hub made a right decision.
