K2 - Hey, it isn't energy! It's passion! LOL

I fully understand that the WTC disaster was particularly hard on those who were 'old friends' with the city - even moreso than on the rest of the country - because these folks had lived in the shadows of these two great symbols of America and saw them daily .....

And, I knew you fit into that category. I therefore fully understand your thoughts on the matter, whether I might or might not fully agree with those sentiments. But, I will defend to the death your right to say what you want to say, whether or not I agree.

I have found that there are multitudes of 'keyboard heroes' out there in cyberland, who seem to get their jollies sitting behind their keyboard and trying to stir the pot and create hate and discontent. These same nerds in real life would most likely faint if they had to confront anyone face-to-face, and back up any of their far-flung 'bash and trash' messages.

Their 'courage' would most likely shrivel and puddle at their feet, after running down their legs in liquid form, if they were called upon to actually pick up a weapon and defend this country, and they wouldn't have the intestinal fortitude to run for any public office and serve in that way. They can only nitpick, find fault, criticize, insult and 'monday morning quarterback' everyone else who IS doing something.

I have smelled burning flesh, seen mangled bodies, heard the cries of injured, and smelled death. I don't want to have to smell, see or hear such again. I pray we never have to undergo such a thing ever again on our soil, or against any Americans, anywhere. But -- I fear we will, simply because those who despise our freedoms and way of life have lost respect for themselves, and no longer value their own lives. Regardless of what we do, whether we resort to force, or (foolishly, in my opinion)just sit back and rely on the 'humanity' of these sorts of peoples, we will feel the sting of being attacked at home again. And there will still be those who what to play 'hug a thug' with the perpetrators. I just don't get it. Had we done that in the past ...... well, we just might all be saying "Heil Hitler" or something else just as revolting, rather than having the freedoms we enjoy today.

If we are to continue to be the land of the free, we have to truly be the home of the brave. We have to present real reasons that the cowards will think twice before messing with us. Playing 'hug-a-thug' won't do it.

Sorry, off on yet another tangent. I know this isn't the response you might have looked for. ;)
