I agree with the above, with some caveats -- fist, the Bible is without question the most influential, and thus important book ever written. I see no harm in teaching a basic familiarity with its contents as a part of a general education. Doctrine, however, is the job of the home and the church, especially the home. Secondly, Christianity and the Bible should never be taught against as is now the case and "philosophy" or other secular thought that is contrary to Scripture should not be taught as truth.
