As a Web professional myself, and as just a person who uses the Web a lot, I too can vouch for this. I see sites all the time that don't get updated for years, and yet the companies or institutions maintaining them are still up and running. Websites are often an afterthought, especially if they don't provide an actual portal for selling products directly. Contact information most often does not change much, if at all, Webmasters forget to increment the "last updated" date if they even have one on their site, and as long as nobody is actually complaining about the content on the site being inaccurate or otherwise calling attention to it, the company in question often has no motivation to expend the extra time and manpower to do anything further with it.

I would definitely not use the lack of recent updates on the JBT site as an indication of anything in particular, certainly not the company's on-going existence.
