I do what I've always done with that stupid AO. I treat it like a swear word and play dumb, Those words never cross my lips unless the customer actually asks for it or has the flyer.
I still have my regulars every month that abuse it, who only want one pose and in my honest oppinion need to invest in a camera and not waist my time by staying at home... but for new customers I don't want them anchored at that rediculous price so I don't even put out the flyers for it usually.
If I've done my job right in the camera room, I usually have a catalog that will convinve them to get at minum a print collection. But that doesn't mean i still haven't given out the odd AO to new people either. I just avoid making it an option.
Funny fact... The company wants us yo top down sell to price anchor... So that we can trick the mind into thinking they are saving money with a (x) collection vs Fine Art bindle. Yet the only thing they seem to want to advertise is an AO that costs them more money then having us sit on our butt. So if we do things properly... we have customers coming in anchored at $10 for a session, and then ask them to spend $300. And they wonder why no money is coming in...
