The problem is not god or Christians. Hardly, the problem is that Christianity has been hijacked by some on the fringe right for political gain. They have gained enormous influence in the Republican party. You, me, and all Americans who value democracy and religious liberty should be suspect. I have no problem with generic references to god coming from anyone. I have serious objections to the undo influence of theopolitical ideologues on my government, or on my kid's religious ed.
