You might read that section of Scripture (Matthew 7) in context and note that Jesus is speaking of hypocritical judging, not judging in general. Jesus says to get the beam out of our own eye and then help get the splinter out of your brothers eye. Compare to other sections were we are specifically told to judge our brothers -- not in a oppressive manner but with a view to set them back on course in their lives.
