BIG ORDERS MAY BE COMING from TARGET/WAL-MART now that PACE financing has kicked in.

**OCTI owns WORLD WIDE LICENSE for WICKOOL (*being tested by a Wal-Mart (1) & Target (1) in Sacramento)

"By installing Wickool+ evaporative cooling units, this retail industry leader's store will recycle hundreds of gallons of water produced each day by their rooftop HVAC units and thus improve the energy efficiency of such equipment, while eliminating the need for costly condensate piping," said John Walter, senior manager, smart energy products with Octus. "The selection of Wickool+ is a clear example of our customer's commitment to develop sustainable retail environments and employ innovative, results-oriented energy efficiency solutions."

Octus executed an exclusive, worldwide license to the Wickool+ technology with the University of California in 2009. Wickool+ is a passive -- no motors, moving parts, electricity, or external water source -- evaporative cooling accessory that repurposes the condensate created by rooftop HVAC units to improve their operation. In the United States there are approximately 4 million 7.5-ton or larger unitary rooftop air conditioning units, with $40 billion spent annually to cool commercial buildings, representing one-sixth of all energy consumed nationally.

"Wickool addresses an important niche in cooling more efficiently,"
said Mark Modera, director of the WCEC and a Sempra Energy Distinguished Scholar in Energy Efficiency. "It makes use of the condensate water that is normally wasted from existing roof-top packaged air conditioners to improve cooling efficiency, and can be applied as a retrofit accessory. Moreover, the cost of installing Wickool can be significantly offset by avoiding the need for condensate piping."
