SoxFan -- the two most impressive weather events I've ever seen (and I've seen a lot) were the Red Rock tornado (an F6 1.6 miles wide) in north central Oklahoma on April 26, 1991, and the Blizzard of '78 in Cambridge (February 6-7, 1978)
you'll know you're really rockin' and rollin' when you can't see more than a few feet out your windows yet you're seeing occasional brilliant flashes through all that snow followed by ground-shaking thunder above the roar of the wind that goes on for 30 seconds or more -- that's something I'll never forget -- friggin' surreal
