Lack of Communication is not always a bad thing. If they just tell 1 or a few people certain things then they set themselves up for big legal issues. I believe the only real option for the release of information is public statement of some kind. Maybe they could get away with being a little more open with certain things BUT they are currently under a microscope and cannot afford to do anything that would even be considered bad business. Also any release of information to the public thats not majority positive news is going to be considered bad. Even a simple statement like Hey guys we are still working on BLAH and expect to done by the end of FEB.. Well that statement would hurt the company overall. You will take a hit for a statement like that. Then you put yourself in a deadline that will HIt you hard again if you don't make it. Its much better to shutup and keep your head down and Then when the timming is right you come out and give it to the people all at once.
