Tom is not their legal counsel. Per their website, which has not been updated in over a year, he is/was on their BOD only.

They have this guy listed (but again, who knows if he is still with the company):

Steve Merrill, Director of Land and Legal

Mr. Merrill is a landman attorney with more than 32 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and production. He aas a member of the management team at Andover Oil Company that drilled the first horizontal well in Oklahoma in 1985. The well was drilled in the Viola limestone formation in Jefferson County, Oklahoma. While this well was not successful for technical reasons, it led to the application of the horizontal concept to Mississippian limestones, pending advances in technology. With the success of horizontal shale wells, it became apparent that the technology had advanced sufficiently to re-consider it’s application to traditional oil reservoir rocks. In 2006 Mr. Merrill teamed with John Helton to study the Mississippian shelf area for horizontal drilling opportunities. Mr. Merrill has continued to study and champion the possibilities of the horizontal Miss Resource play to current date.
