Janice, while I will agree that 5 decades of new securities laws (and regulations) have been written sense then, and thus have changed, it is possible that he did a lot of the grunt work writing the legislation back then (1960s) and as such got a unique look into the basis of security law that has evolved from there.

I got the opportunity to do something similar 30 years ago in environmental law.

I also got an early introduction into computer programing as a kid because my father wrote early code in assembly language. Few people alive today can even read the underlying assembly language code anymore, much less understand it now. But that early view served we well as a program writer in later years as layers of programing language have been built on the old basis which is no longer taught, and nearly forgotten as the computers all write and test the raw code.

My point, by that example, is that he may have a solid basis and thus enviable perspective after 50 years of practicing security law.

Ambition with out knowledge is like ship in dry dock. Going nowhere fast!
