I don't follow very many individual stocks, to tell the truth, mostly just indices. But I'm pretty sure that the October rally -- the first half at least -- was fueled largely by short covering. So it's definitely something worth looking at.
Along those same lines, I've been wondering if it might not be a good idea to pick one or two POS's with very high short positions to use as small-bet late-in-a-rally plays. Is that nuts or what?
